About Raffi Kaivalya
About Raffi Kaivalya, massage therapist/personal trainer in Watertown, Massachusetts.
I'm a pragmatic and solution-oriented Bodyworker and since licensing in muscular therapy 2009, I've continued to certify in a witch's brew of orthopedics, myoskeletal alignment, and many other neuromuscular therapies. My movement background has been mostly in CrossFit, yoga, martial arts, and skateboarding, but I’ve explored and devoted a fair share or time in many other physical endeavors. Our bodies are incredible instruments of expression and since I’m aiming high and in it for the long run I’ve integrated more specific functional movement training, or neuromuscular re-education into my life as a means for maintaining balance. I also have adapted the extensive training I've had with the Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI), into my practice which aids me in my holistic approach and assessments.
Work is a worship for me, and I live to practice what I preach. I consistently love learning advances in the field of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, while I passionately aim to remain current with the needs of my clients.
I believe that pain is not something that we have to live with. I like to set realistic goals with my clients, developing a treatment that includes things such as hands on healing, postural shifts, diet changes and general self-care suggestions, to alleviate pain and symptoms or remove it altogether.
In addition, I take great joy in working with Heidi Kaivalya LAc, LMT together on Harvard University Women's Swimming and Diving team and witnessing these amazing athletes claim the crown at ivies time and again. Viva Crimson!
When not working with clients or studying, I can be found kicking it with Mrs. K, amongst our two fur babies, or out and about exploring the great outdoors.
