About Raffi Kaivalya

About Raffi Kaivalya, massage therapist/personal trainer in Watertown, Massachusetts.

Since licensing in muscular therapy 2009, I've continued to certify in a witch's brew of orthopedics, myoskeletal alignment, and other related more technical neuromuscular therapies.  I have a strong movement background in yoga, martial arts, and skateboarding, and have since then been called towards functional movement training, and neuromuscular re-education as a means for maintaining good balance. I also have adapted the extensive training I've had with the Postural Restoration Institute® (PRI), into my practice which aids me in my holistic approach and assessments.

Work is a worship for me, and I constantly love learning advances in the field of Bodywork and Movement Therapies, while I passionately aim to remain current with the needs of my clients.

I believe that pain is not something that we have to live with. I like to set realistic goals with my clients, developing a treatment that includes things such as hands on healing, postural shifts, diet changes and general self-care suggestions, to alleviate pain and symptoms or remove it altogether.

In addition, I take great joy when working with my wife Heidi Kaivalya LAc, LMT on Harvard University Women's Swimming and Diving team who have been champions claiming the crown at ivies time and again. Viva Crimson!

When not working with clients or studying, I can be found kicking it with Mrs. K, amongst our two fur babies, or out and about exploring the great outdoors.
